We develop events and initiaives designed to empower our communities and educate youth on positive life experiences. Whatever your circumstance, know this: There is always hope.
Our Children
The tragedy of children killed accidentally by guns in the US is laid bare in new research that shows that as many as 100 boys and girls aged 14 and under are dying each year, substantially more than federal statistics have previously suggested.
Our Communities
The FBI has recently released its supplemental homicide data for 2012, including the numbers of interracial killings. These are highly relevant for the current rallying cry that “black lives matter.”
Our Nation
According to the National Crime Victimization Survey, 467,321 persons were victims of a crime committed with a firearm in 2011. Firearms were used in 68% of murders and 21% of aggravated assaults nationwide.
